Programs - Centers

Scheduled programs begin with the du Nord Rendezvous on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in Thor's Lodge Field at du Nord Village. The rest of the week offers family and individual activities to enrich the spirit, mind and body. All activities are optional and we invite you to participate as much or as little as you'd like.

Cookouts, Overnights, Hikes, and Paddles

You and your family can take advantage of the beauty of the surroundings while enjoying a lunch or dinner out on trail.  Paddle in a canoe or hike to one of many picture-perfect locations with your family and “eat out on trail.”  If cooking out isn’t adventurous enough for you and your family, consider an overnight camping trip.  These trips must be scheduled in advance and a camp staff member can accompany your adventure.

Sauna

There are three saunas at Camp du Nord, one located in each village.  Sign up for a wood-fired sauna at the du Nord Rendezvous on Sunday afternoon at Thor’s Lodge Field.  Adult mixed gender saunas are Wednesday evenings, single gender adult saunas are on Tuesday and Friday evenings.  Family sauna is Tuesday evening, and teen sauna is Friday evening.

Outdoor Activity Center (OAC)

The OAC offers a variety of activities, classes and games to draw attention to the natural beauty around Camp du Nord. Try your hand at matchless fire starting, scavenger hunts, nature study, t-shirts, orienteering, cooking and tasting delicious trail food, creative hikes and more!

The Eco Challenge

The Eco Challenge is a series of goals which are focused on promoting environmental awareness at camp and beyond. The goals are attainable, simple ways you can live a little 'greener' while at camp, and incorporated more environmentally friendly habits into your lives at home.

The Pine Pointe Pavilion

The Pavilion at Pine Pointe is a splendid gathering space for campers.  The deck has a roof providing protection from the elements.  The Pavillion offers a ping pong table and foosball table and picnic tables. Plan to stop by this great family gathering space - rain or shine!

Family Art Center (FAC)

The Family Art Center offers a great room with a large stone fireplace, and a smaller sun room with windows overlooking Burntside Lake for quieter activities.  Individuals and families can explore a wide variety of arts and crafts through scheduled classes or open studio time.
