Winter Camp

Our campers can’t wait for people at home to ask them “What did you do this weekend?”

Winter Experience

Ages 8 - 11 years, Grades 3 – 6

Play outside snowshoeing, following animal tracks, and playing winter games on Lake Wapogasset. Winter Experience participants sleep indoors both Friday and Saturday night.

Activities include building snow forts, snow shoeing, campfires, broomball, Capture the Flag, Capture the Counselor, sledding, S'more and hot chocolate! Enjoy a winter picnic in the Yurt and look at the stars in the sky! Learn winter skills and ice safety training. Come walk on Lake Wapogasset and see what Camp Icaghowan looks like in the winter!

Winter Adventures

Ages 12 to 18 years | Grades 7 – 12

Campers receive training in winter camping skills, be outfitted with winter camping equipment, including clothes and a minus 40 degree sleeping bag. 

Arrive Friday night and join a crew with two camp counselors. Pack your food, plan your route, and be issued winter camping equipment. Your crew will head out Saturday morning after a big breakfast to set up your campsite and participate in fun winter activities. After a hearty supper and night hike in the peacefulness of winter, you will go to sleep in your shelter. Sunday morning you will eat breakfast in your campsite and return to main camp for a celebration banquet lunch and return home feeling great about your adventure!
