Bringing your group to Menogyn is a magical experience, and one that will not be soon forgotten. Through high-quality wilderness tripping programs, countless people of diverse backgrounds have come together and discovered strengths as individuals and as part of a collective.
Menogyn is your resource for ANYTHING wilderness. School, camp, church and private groups are welcome. We can be your Innkeeper, Mentor or Guide for wilderness outdoor adventure programs.

Innkeeper for a Relaxing Retreat
Cross Bearskin Lake and retreat into our wilderness lodge. Enjoy heating sleeping quarters, home cooked meals including fresh bread, our log sauna, and the beautiful surroundings - a unique backdrop for your activities.
Wilderness Mentor
3- to 5-day programs where you sleep in camp and take 1 day and 1/2 day guided trips. We can provide an Introduction to Winter Wilderness program that includes skiing, snowshoeing and dog sledding. In spring and fall our activities include canoeing, hiking and fishing.
There are many sights close to Menogyn including Rose Falls and Stairway portage, Honeymoon Bluff, Caribou Rock, Watap Palisades and others that make excellent day trips. We can provide everything your group needs as you explore by day and relax in our cabins or lodge by night.
Guide | On-Trail Programs
To get a true wilderness experience, let us outfit and guide your group into the pristine BWCA or Quetico wilderness areas. Our experienced and caring trail guides will provide whatever level of education you require, including wilderness camping/canoeing skills, minimal-impact camping, group dynamics, flora and fauna, and wilderness ethics.
We also tailor leadership, team building and service learning programs with wilderness components. These trips offer inter-disciplinary learning, and have many applications back in the classroom or group setting. [back to top]
Wilderness Dog Sledding
Menogyn offers dog sledding as part of our winter family camp or group retreats. Come up to camp for a long weekend, stay in our heated cabins, and spend the days outside, skiing, snowshoeing, and of course, dog sledding.
We have about 20 dogs that live at Menogyn from late December until early March. Many have run and finished races like the Beargrease and the Iditarod. They are some of the best-trained and well-mannered dogs in the country and love to share their role in fun, outdoor living.
Our dogs are taken care of by two mushers and two trail staff members who live and work at camp all winter. Our staff will train you on how to interact with the dogs, teach you about sled dog history, safe mushing, and take you out on a run. You'll even have the opportunity to mush your own sled if you desire.
Most groups spend 3+ nights with us in order to have a couple full days of activities. Contact Maureen (Mo) Martin at 763-230-9310 or by email for more details. [back to top]
