Wild About Nature Camp

Nature lovers will enjoy the great outdoors as we explore the wonders of the natural world! Learn to use what nature provides as we build outdoor shelters. Hike along our many paths and trails as we seek out trees and special plants to identify. Nature crafts of all kinds bring variety and build important skills.
Farm Camp

Join us for a week of wholesome fun on the farm! Working farm, you’ll explore the barn and acres of gardens, pastures, fields, and forests. Experience the daily routines of feeding and caring for sheep, cattle, chickens, cats and dogs. Discover how plants, animals, soil, and people work together to produce the food that we eat everyday. Learn how to use fresh produce in your own cooking. Learn what it means to be a good steward with this unique farming experience.

Animals in Action Camp

Love animals of all kinds? You will love this hands-on animal exploration program where you’ll learn about wildlife and endangered species. Compare and contrast the characteristics of many common and not-so-common animals while learning how they enrich our world. The week's highlight ends with an opportunity to interact with live animals.
Science Camp

Warning – do not attempt these highly entertaining experiments at home, because you will want to share the excitement with your family and friends! Take off into a world of exploration through hands-on experiments including the human light bulb, soda bottle water launcher and much more! At the end of the week, you’ll display your projects at our science fair for parents and campers to see!
Outdoor Cooking Camp

Outdoor Cooking Camp is a week-long exploration of culinary delights. These junior chefs will receive lessons in outdoor cooking safety, cooking techniques, nutrition, menu planning, shopping tips, and the essentials for making healthy snacks and scrumptious meals in the great outdoors. Campers will bring home samples of food and recipes to share with family and friends.
Magic & Illusions Camp
- Ages 6 years - Entering grade 3 in fall 2012
- Week of July 30
- Y Members: $225 per week

Discover the secrets to creating illusions that will amaze your friends and family! Cards, coins, magic cups and balls, scarves, and other props will be used to practice sleight of hand maneuvers and develop various magic skills. A special guest will join the group during the week and you will have a chance to show off your magic tricks during a magic show performance on Family Night.
Space Odyssey Camp
- Ages 6 years - Entering grade 3 in fall 2012

Hey space scientists, get ready to blast-off with our galactic adventures! We’ll launch high-flying rockets and create spectacular solar system mobiles. Sample the orbital delicacies of Martian Ice Cream. Embark on glow-in-the-dark paint activities where the galaxy is the limit, and many other out-of-this-world experiments!
Pioneering Camp
- Entering grades 4 - 6 in fall 2012
- Week of July 9
- Y Members: $185 per week

Pioneering Camp is an exciting trip back in time! Learn how the early pioneers lived and developed the land and communities that we know today. You’ll explore heritage crafts and activities from the 19th century such as leatherwork, basket weaving, and making natural plant dyes with blueberries. There are also opportunities for making candles, popcorn, and ice cream as well as cooking in a Dutch oven over an open fire!
Archeology Camp
- Entering grades 4 - 6 in fall 2012
- Week of July 23
- Y Members: $225 per week
- Program Participants: $252 per week
Retrace history’s steps in this hands-on experience as you learn about archeology. Campers will review the science of archeology, and plan, prepare and execute a group dig using dig kits, shovels and brushes. Campers will then collectively evaluate and develop theories for their finds.
Outdoor Living Skills Camp
- Entering grades 4 - 6 in fall 2012
- Week of August 6
- Y Members: $225 per week
- Program Participants: $252 per week
Develop your outdoor living skills with this exciting, hands-on specialty camp! Discover the finer points of preparing for your next big outdoor adventure. Campers will develop orienteering skills using a map and compass and learn about plant and animal identification. Campers will also learn a variety of useful camping skills including building a fire (without matches) making camp shelters, knot tying, campfire cooking and more!
