Wee Backpackers

Start your preschooler’s appreciation of the great outdoors by enrolling him or her in Wee Backpackers! From the moment campers arrive each day, counselors guide them through traditional camp experiences including hiking, nature study, music, group games, and arts and crafts. They have opportunities to sing songs, tell stories, and meet new friends. All activities are geared to show your preschool camper the wonders of nature. Wee Backpackers is carried out under the watchful eye of counselors trained to meet the needs of young campers. We maintain a staff to child ratio of 1:6.
Traditional Day Camp
- Ages 6 years - entering grade 6 in fall 2012
- June 11 - August 31*
- Y Members: $162 per week
- Program Participants: $189 per week
DayCroix at YMCA Camp St. Croix provides a wonderful place for campers to experience outdoor adventures! Our Day Camp offers fun-filled activities for campers such as the Oasis Waterplay Area, waterfront activities, archery, swimming, games, environmental education, team sports, camp crafts, scavenger hunts, cookouts, and more. Visit our Pioneer Village to make old-fashioned crafts such as leatherwork, basket weaving, candles, tie-dye, fresh popcorn, and ice cream.
On Thursday nights, 5th and 6th grade campers can enjoy overnight camp-outs after our Family Night program.
