Developing leadership qualities and abilities are important life-long ingredients. Our leadership camps develop the whole person — spirit, mind, and body — through a variety of service projects, hands-on activities, and team building exercises. Our leaders of tomorrow begin with our youth of today!
TEEN ARTS & DRAMA CAMP
Register for Teen Arts & Drama Camp
- Entering grades 6 – 8 in fall 2012
- Weeks of July 9 & 30
- Y Members: $180 per week
- Program Participants: $200 per week
Express yourself and be the star you are! Create trendy eco-art and do other fun craft projects. And take to the stage where you’ll learn and perform music numbers, participate in improv and act up in theater skits! Plus, throughout the week, extra day camp activities keep your creative batteries well charged.
TEEN EXTREME
Register for Teen Extreme Camp
- Entering grades 6 – 8 in fall 2012
- Weeks of June 18; July 16, 23 & 30; August 13
- Y Members: $180 per week
- Program Participants: $200 per week
This program gives participants a taste of some of the most popular Summer Extreme Programs: rock climbing, challenge courses, zip line, water games and more! Be Bold, Be Brave! Be Extreme!
Parent Note: Tuesday of camper's session week, parents must drop off at Emma B. Howe YMCA in the morning- Before care is avilable. Pick up will be at the normal afternoon bustop.
LEADERS-IN-TRAINING
Register for Leaders-in-Training Camp
- Two-week session for teens entering grades 7 – 8 in fall 2012
- Offered bi-weekly: June 11 - August 6*
- Y Members: $240 per 2-week session
- Program Participants: $260 per 2-week session
Rise to the challenge of Leaders-in-Training camp and discover the leadership qualities within you! LITs will learn and develop camp skills needed to lead camper activities, including personal development through confidence building and responsibility management, as well as group development through activity planning and event organization.
You’ll have opportunities to shadow counselors of younger campers and assist staff in their camp activities. There will also be plenty of time to hang out with friends-new and old. Come experience camp from a whole new perspective!
