YMCA Day Camp Manitou is a wonderful place for your child to experience fun, outdoor adventures this summer! Traditional camp activities include swimming, canoeing, archery, fishing, environmental education, cookouts, arts and crafts, and more.
Wee Backpackers
- Ages 4 & 5 years old including campers entering Kindergarten in fall 2012
- Weeks of June 11 - August 24*
- Y Members: $175 per week
- Program Participants: $195 per week
Start your preschooler’s love affair with the great outdoors by enrolling him or her in Wee Backpackers! From the moment campers arrive each day, counselors guide them through traditional camp experiences including hiking, nature study, and group games. They will have opportunities to savor the wonderful flavors of outdoor cookouts, sing songs, tell stories, meet new friends, and more. All activities are geared to show your preschool camper the wonders of nature at a slower, gentler pace. Wee Backpackers is carried out under the watchful eye of counselors trained to meet the needs of young campers. We maintain a staff to child ratio of 1:6.

- Special Drop off/ pick up at Camp Manitou rate: $150 per week Note: Campers must provide own transportation to and from Camp Manitou.
Imagine yourself as a bold explorer hiking through wooded trails, studying the wonders of nature, canoeing along lakeshores, and conquering many challenges under the leadership of well-trained staff. Exciting activities include archery, lake swimming, camp crafts, fishing, outdoor cooking, and group games! Bounce, slide, and splash on the RAVE, our 30-foot water raft!

Manitou Mania is an exclusive, end-of-summer extravaganza that runs only during the last week of camp. Spend your last week of summer trying a little bit of each exciting camp activity including swimming, sports, fishing, camp crafts like tie-dying, horseback rides, and more time on the Rave. We’ll end our week and say good-bye to summer with an all-camp beach party with group games and loads of fun!
