Traditional Day Camp
Traditional camp activities include swimming, canoeing, archery, fishing, environmental education, cookouts, arts and crafts, and more. Specialty camps provide two hours of focus on a favorite activity. Accomplishments are marked with special beads for every camper to collect. Highlights: High & Low Ropes Challenge Course – more challenge. Black Hole Slide – a thrilling ride zipping through a huge tube down a large hill. 4 Gaga Pits – where campers play an exciting version of dodgeball that requires players to hit the ball with their hand or fist. Adventure Island – target sports for older campers.

Wee Backpackers
- Ages 4 & 5 years old, including campers entering Kindergarten in fall 2012
- Weeks of June 11 - August 31*
- Y Members: $180 per week
- Program Participants: $200 per week
Start your preschooler’s love affair with the great outdoors by enrolling him or her in Wee Backpackers! From the moment campers arrive each day, counselors guide them through traditional camp experiences including hiking, nature studies, canoeing, archery, and arts and crafts. They will have opportunities to savor the wonderful flavors of outdoor cookouts, sing songs, tell stories, meet new friends, and more. All activities are geared to show your preschool camper the wonders of nature. Wee Backpackers is carried out under the watchful eye of counselors trained to meet the needs of young campers in a small group setting.

Wee BackPackers Learn to Swim
- Ages 4 & 5 years old, including campers entering Kindergarten in fall 2012
- Weeks of June 18; July 9 & 23; August 6
- Y Members: $195 per week
- Program Participants: $210 per week
All of the wonderful outdoor adventures in the Wee Backpacker program plus YMCA Swim Academy swimming lessons! Each day Wee Bees will have a 40-minute YMCA Swim Academy progressive swimming lesson at the Minnesota Valley YMCA indoor pool with our certified swim instructors. Little swimmers will also have time to play in our zero depth pool. The remainder of the day will be spent enjoying traditional camp activities. A swim lesson progress card will be given at the end of the session.

Imagine yourself as a bold explorer hiking through wooded trails, studying the wonders of nature, canoeing along lakeshores, and conquering the low ropes challenge course under the leadership of well-trained staff. There’s fort building, archery, swimming, canoeing, camp crafts, gaga pits and tons of group games. Satisfy your need for speed by sliding down our Black Hole slide!
