3-session Minimum

A permanent school age care schedule is required at time of registration. The schedule encompasses AM care and/or PM care. If you have a half-day kindergarten student in ISD 621, you may need to register for kindergarten care, AM care, and/or PM care. Please call Customer Service for assistance on kindergarten program needs. Minimum sessions are required for all school age programs. 

Programs require a minimum schedule of three sessions. Session minimums apply to each specific program. For instance if you have a kindergarten student, but also need AM/PM care, you will be required to schedule a minimum of 3 sessions for kindergarten and 3 sessions for AM/PM care. If a participant leaves the program, a new registration fee must be paid to start up the program during the same school year. Variable permanent schedules are not offered as part of the program. You may change your schedule week to week; however, a permanent schedule is required for registration. If your child is scheduled to attend fewer than three sessions in a week, you are still responsible for paying the three-session billing minimum.

Schedule Changes

You are able to manage your child’s calendar online through My Account. Once logged into your Y account, click My Child Care on the left of your screen. This convenient calendar tool allows flexibility in your weekly schedule and ensures accuracy of the attendance roster.

You may add sessions, remove sessions no longer needed or switch sessions within a scheduled week. Changes to the calendar must be made online by Monday one week PRIOR to the week of care to assure accurate billing for the sessions you need. Adding or switching sessions after the weekly deadline will incur additional fees. You are charged your original schedule for the week, plus the additional session(s) and a $2 late change fee per session.

Please note: There will be no reduction in fees for sessions registered if your child does not attend program for any reason. If your child will not be in program for a registered day please contact the program site immediately.

School Release Days

When school is out, the Y is in. A variety of theme-based activities geared toward individual interests and grade levels keep kids engaged. We have the flexibility you need; sign up for a single day or a whole week.

State/County Assistance

Families who are working with a state or county agency that helps cover the cost of child care expenses must contact their caseworker about the child’s involvement in our program. Parents using State, County or third party payments must provide a caseworker name, phone number and VU# at the time of registration. Only upon receipt of the authorization from the third party, will the child be enrolled.

For County Subsidy, a current “Authorization of Service” must be on file with the Y. Co-payments are due in full by the first of the month, unless payment arrangements are made with the Customer Service Center. Parents will be held liable for all co-payments and fees not covered by an authorization. An expired authorization or failure to pay co-payments may result in termination of your child’s enrollment. County Claim forms must be signed and returned to the Y within 1 week of receipt. Failure to provide a signed claim form could result in the parent being liable for full childcare fees.  

Personal Pricing Plan

The Y welcomes those who wish to participate and annually raises funds to help make the Personal Pricing Program possible. Personal Pricing applications must be submitted with registration forms and accompanying registration fees. Personal Pricing is supported in part by contributions from Y Partners and other donors, and provides scholarships and subsidies for qualifying applicants within our available resources. Program Applications are available online at Completed forms must be submitted to the Customer Service Center for review. Applications will be returned if submitted without all required documentation and registration requirements. Parent/Guardians are responsible for full payment until an approval is granted. You will be contacted via US Mail or email with the results of the review and potential award.

Regardless of assistance received, please include this information on your registration form:

  • Completed Registration Form with payment information
  • A non-refundable fee of $50 per child must accompany each registration (unless you register within the promotional savings period) and is also required with registration through the Personal Pricing Plan.
  • You must register each child for a minimum of three sessions per week.
  • Session Fees are due one week prior to the start of the session.

Multi-party Billing Agreements

In cases where multiple parties are making payments to a specific childcare account, the Y is not responsible for determining which party has the financial responsibility for specific weeks/days. The Y is limited on what we can provide for multiple party billing. Each party must be current with payment in order for child to continue in program. Please call the Customer Service Center with questions regarding multiple party payments. A Multiple Party Agreement form is required to be completed and signed by both parties.  The only payment method offered in multiple party payment accounts is automatic payment (EFT) through a credit/debit card.
