River Valley YMCA in Prior Lake

The River Valley YMCA provides Before and After Care for children who attend Shakopee Public Schools ISD 720. Our program is located in your child’s school for your convenience. Safety is our top priority. Parents/guardians sign their children into the program in the morning and students walk to class when school starts. In the afternoon, students walk from class to the School Age Care Program and parents/guardians must sign them out at pick up time.

Half-Day Kindergarten Care

Sign up for the Before and After School Care Program if your Kindergartener will need care before the school day starts or after the school day ends.

Program Hours:

Monday - Friday
Before School Care: 6:00 a.m. – School Start
After School Care: School End – 6:30 p.m.

School Release Days and Holiday Care: 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

School Release Days are paid in full at time of registration online.

Y School Age Care will be closed on the following days: Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day following, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Memorial Day.

Program Cost- Before and After School Sessions:

A “session” is defined as either before school or after school. The 3-session minimum can be reached by combining a.m. and/or p.m. sessions.

3 sessions: $31.50
4 sessions: $42.00
5 sessions: $52.50
6 sessions: $63.00
7 sessions: $73.50
8 sessions: $84.00
9 sessions: $94.50
10 sessions: $105.00

Breakfast & Lunch

Breakfast is provided through your child’s school at an additional charge for A.M. Kindergartners. Hot lunch is available for an additional charge per meal, or you may bring your own bag lunch.
