Second Chance Through Mentoring

Second Chance Through Mentoring aids in the successful transition and reintegration of juvenile offenders from secure confinement back to their communities through the use of comprehensive assessment and case planning, and the use of volunteers as one-to-one mentors and group mentors. The overall goal of the program is to prevent and respond to juvenile delinquency through the establishment of a mentoring program.

Youth will be able to access a venue where they can get information from group and individual mentors to support them around their goals in education, work, volunteering, finance, health, housing plus much more. Eligible youth will be encouraged and supported to complete high school, explore careers, participate in pro-social activities, prepare for jobs, and pursue post-secondary education.
