Fitness Services

Assessment of your current fitness level is a good start to any fitness program. By establishing your baseline fitness measurements, you can accurately track your progress and plan your exercise accordingly. Visit Member Services at your YMCA to schedule an orientation or assessment.

Active Metabolic Training

The YMCA’s Active Metabolic Training System determines your body’s metabolic rates, response to exercise and daily caloric needs. The results reveal how often, how long and how hard you need to exercise to achieve the greatest fat-burning effect for your effort. Personal Trainers help you design and implement a customized program to achieve your weight loss and fitness goals.

Fitness Consultation

A free fitness consultation, facilitated by a YMCA fitness professional, helps you identify your fitness baseline, personal goals and establishes a plan to move toward improved health, fitness, or performance.

A fitness consultation is the first step in the journey to achieve your personal goals and can be scheduled at your convenience.

Fitness Equipment Orientation (Kids 12 & up - Adult)

Fitness Orientations are FREE and designed to demonstrate the safe and effective way to use a variety of state-of-the-art cardiovascular and resistance training equipment. Orientations can be scheduled during regular hours.

Health and Fitness Assessment

A free health/fitness assessment establishes baseline measurements from which your progress may be tracked. Assessments may include blood pressure, resting heart rate, body composition, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, muscular fitness and a dynamic postural analysis. A YMCA Personal Trainer will also recommend exercises to improve your fitness level.

Personal Training

Are you ready to raise the level of your exercise routine? Do you need help recovering from an injury or illness? Whatever your situation is, YMCA Personal Training can help! The YMCA’s Personal Trainers are national certified and can help you define and achieve your fitness goals. One-to-One and Group Training available.

Pilates Reformer

Pilates Reformer classes use a device with attached cables, pulleys and springs to get great results. Participants use their bodies as resistance, moving through a series of low impact exercises. These exercises improve flexibility, joint mobility, balance, coordination, breathing and posture. 

Water Personal Training

If your goal is increased strength, improved endurance or weight loss, a YMCA nationally-certified Personal Trainer can customize a water fitness program just for you. The water’s natural resistance and buoyancy provides the perfect setting for you to get a great total body workoutg. The water is also a great place to train to reduce both impact stress to the joints and heat stress on the body.

I think that the personal training program is one of the best values at the Y, and I will be continuing to utilize them as long as I am a member.
