Bosu Boot Camp

  • Kids ages 10 – 14 may attend with a parent or guardian
  • Teens age 15+ may attend unaccompanied by an adult

BOSU® is designed to challenge your balance, strength and coordination. Whatever your sport is this rugged workout of sports drills, weights, jump rope, boxing, circuits and interval training will improve your stamina. Most class exercises use the BOSU half ball platform, which is a semi-spherical inflated bubble on one side and a hard plastic surface on the other. Drills are done in a sports conditioning format, allowing participants to work the drill to the best of their ability.

A Typical Class

Class begins with light-weight warm-ups then moves into working core muscles, upper body strength training and lower body exercises. Class ends with cool-down exercises and muscle stretches.

New to class? Arrive a little early so our instructor can give you some pointers

  • The Y provides all equipment for this class

Attire and What to Bring

  • Come to class dressed and ready to move your body
  • Loose-fitting, functional clothing made of breathable material to allow air flow
  • Proper gym shoes, comfortable fit, good stability
  • Water, towel
