Nordic Walking Club

Discounted for Members

  • Age 15+
  • Level: All
  • Limit 8 participants per class

Nordic walking uses two specially designed poles to work the upper body while walking (like cross country skiing). The poles are used by the arms to match each step taken. Nordic walking is a great cardio workout that increases your heart rate without increasing your perceived rate of exertion. During regular walking, 70% of muscles are used compared to 90% used during Nordic walking. Though simply walking faster can result in a similar heart rate effect, people who cannot or do not walk fast will certainly benefit from this club-like class.

There is a group of people that have been doing Nordic walking for years. It's fun to see everyone each week and keep up with our families and life events. It's a tremendous workout and value.
