Fibromyalgia Interval Training classes focus on aquatic exercises to increase range of motion and to develop greater flexibility. This warm-water exercise is designed to help people with fibromyalgia manage pain, stiffness and fatigue. Movements are performed in shallow and deep water and include stretching, upper and lower body exercises, aerobic and strengthening exercises, warm-up, cool-down and relaxation periods.
Classes take place in our heated indoor pools. Class may be conducted in shallow or deep water. Exercises focus on activities of daily living: walking, moving a joint through the range of motion and holding it to feel a gentle stretch in the muscle. This is an interval style class.

I've been a member for at least 5 years, but this fall, I signed up for my first Adult Water Adjustment class. The instructor was patient, asking both me and the other woman in our class what our experience and comfort levels were. She set out to work with each of us on skills we were ready for.Sue K
