Community Leadership Intern Program

Spring semester internship program that engages college students in internship positions with local nonprofits, foundations, and corporate community relations departments. In addition to the internship, students take a 6-credit weekly academic seminar to reflect and learn about leadership, ethics, community building, and professional development. Y-Immersion Program and EBP

Y Immersion works to engage college students in service projects, throughout the US and internationally, in order to grow an awareness of social justice and environmental issues. Click here for an application.
 

Collegiate Achievers Program

Freshmen: Need a mentor? Y-CAP provides a social mentoring system for freshmen.
Juniors/Seniors: want to be a mentor? In Y-CAP you'll work with freshmen at the university.

These programs are geared towards developing leadership in participants and serving youth in the greater Minneapolis and St. Paul community.

Y-Tutors

Get a job where you make a positive impact in the community! Y-Tutors engage in classroom and individual tutoring and mentoring with youth grades K-5. Work study positions available.

Y-Buddies

Got Buds? We do! Y-Buddies mentors 3rd-8th grade students in the Minneapolis area. Big Buddies meet with their Little Buddies once a week and we also have big group events to Como Park, the Hollidazzle Parade and the Science Museum. We also have weekly seminars were Big Buddies learn leadership and mentoring skills. It's also a great way to meet new people!

Y-Scholars

Help prepare students to succeed in college! Y-Scholars volunteers go to Minneapolis high schools and middle schools to educate kids about college and career opportunities available to them. Y-Scholars also goes on college field trips with the students. Work study positions available.

PHD (Physical, Healthy, Driven)

Assist elementary and middle high students prepare for a healthy lifestyle.  You will work with students to teach them about nutrition, exercise, and making healthy lifestyle choices.
