Summer Power Preschool #

Ages 3 – 5 years old
June 14 – September 3
Hours 6:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

One-time, non-refundable registration fee of $50 per child. Weekly fee includes all field trip admissions, open swimming, program t-shirt and program supplies.

Qualified teachers lead 3 – 5 year olds in a progressive educational and recreational full-day program for preschool children. Your child will develop social, physical and cognitive skills by participating in activities such as story time, letter and number recognition, art, calendar concepts, and large-and-small muscle games. They will make friends and have fun as they sing songs, participate in arts & crafts, nature studies and much more. Summer sessions include weekly field trips, recreational swimming and additional outdoor play. Three- four- & five day options are available.

Summer Power is a super-lively, full-day enrichment program focused on quality, small group, age-appropriate activities. Kids stay motivated, entertained and are encouraged to make choices and exercise independent thinking. Each week is packed with an amazing variety of activities including field trips weekly to exciting places. Not only are the kids entertained and engaged, they’re learning new things and making new friends.
No two weeks are alike! Some of the popular things your kids will enjoy every week are:

  • Arts & Humanities – creative projects and learning through the arts
  • Science Projects – fun and learning through hands-on exploration
  • Health & Fitness – staying fit, healthy and strong while having a blast
  • Large-group Games – playing Capture The Flag, Kickball, Scavenger Hunts and other popular kids’ games and sports.
  • Values-strengthening Activities – projects, skits and more to help the YMCA values of caring, honesty,
    respect and responsibility come to life
  • Service Projects – having fun while helping others
  • Water Activities – trips to pools, water parks and other wet and wild fun
  • Wonderful Spaces – multiple outdoor and indoor areas enhance summer activities

Intriguing weekly themes guide engaging activities and give kids topics to look forward to. Themes are outlined on this page at left. Trained YMCA staff provides supervision, care and guidance for participants in this unrivaled summer program. It’s honest-to-goodness fun!

Customize your child’s summer to fit the needs of your family. Enroll your child for the whole summer, choose a few weeks, or mix it up even more with full and partial weeks. Choose from 3-, 4- or 5- day options.

Program Fee: $117/week
Program Hours: After summer school - 6 p.m.

Summer Uproar

High-spirited adventures result in growth experiences for youth.

Preteens and teens grades 6 – 8 in fall, 2010
June 14 – September 3, Monday – Friday
Program Hours: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Drop-off: 6:30 a.m. – 9 a.m.
Pick-up: 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

One-time, non-refundable registration fee of $50 per child.
Weekly fee includes all field trip admissions, open swimming, and program supplies.

Summer Uproar is a full-day, experience-based enrichment program that encourages older kids to explore their ever-expanding world, increase understanding, build independence and have a boatload of fun. Uproar brings a multitude of character development experiences to kids through community involvement, leadership activities, team building exercises, goal setting and more! Days are filled with super field trips, outings to amusement and water parks, and in fun group activities that exercise the body, challenge the mind and nurture the spirit of our youth.

Choose from 3-, 4- or 5-day options.

Summer Sports#

YMCA • Lynx • Timberwolves • National Basketball Academy Clinic
Come learn Basketball from the best! The Lynx, Timberwolves, National Basketball Academy and the YMCA are proud to offer this high quality clinic that will focus on learning all about basketball. Whether you are just beginning or an experienced player, this clinic is designed to improve the skill level of any basketball player.
Fee includes a basketball, t-shirt, ticket to a Lynx game and instruction by the National Basketball Academy.
Please bring a water bottle.
