"One of the best experiences of my college career!" - former intern

The Community Leadership Intern Program places students in internships at community organizations.  For the last 39 years the University YMCA have successfully facilitated this program and some of our interns have gone on to be CEOs, Senior VPs, and business owners. The spring internship session is completed in conjunction with a CLA leadership seminar for a total of 6 academic credits. During this seminar students learn about  ethical leadership, community building, global and intercultural awareness, and professional development.

The Community Leadership Intern Program is sponsored by the University YMCA, a campus-based branch of the YMCA of Metropolitan Minneapolis.  The program is supported by the University of Minnesota College of Liberal Arts, as well as the Career and Community Learning Center.
