I have been personal training professionally since 2002. I got into the field because I like the variety of the job and I love being a catalyst for change in people’s lives. I enjoy working with people of any age and fitness level who want, and are willing to make a change to their health and wellbeing. My training sessions are motivating, creative and fun!

Instructing Fitness Classes and motivating others comes very natural to me. My philosophy is "sometimes you have to close your eyes to truly see things." I want my Personal Training clients, Pilates Reformer clients and Fitness Class participants to see their potential and make it a reality. I am absolutely passionate about fitness and living life to the fullest through a strong mind, body and spirit.

After training on the Pilates Reformer with me for 2+ years, my clients  and ages 60+, told me: “We completed a 105 mile bike tour this weekend and could never have done it without our Pilates Reformer Training.”

I have been working as a Personal Trainer since 2000 in private, non-profit and corporate settings in Minnesota and Colorado. I joined the YMCA team in 2006 and found my niche helping our members achieve their fitness, function and performance goals.  I believe everyone deserves personalized, compassionate attention in order to create their specific “blueprint for fitness”. As our members’ lives change, so do their fitness needs.  I enjoy being there to help them grow and shine. My training philosophy is “Enhancing quality of life through balance, peace and strength.” I work with men and women in need of weight loss, kids with special needs, competitive athletes, senior citizens, people wanting to improve their golf game, back pain sufferers, body builders and just about anybody in between. I utilize a fun variety of methods to help clients lose weight, manage pain, correct imbalance, enhance stability, flexibility and balance and build strength and tone.

The YMCA personal trainers have provided many ways for more to get healthy, including machine weights, free weights, kettle bell, TRX, and self-resistance. They have helped me build workouts to do at the YMCA, and at home.
