Community Board of Directors

  • Please contact our Executive Director at the number above to learn about board and committee opportunities (operations and program).

Community

  • Healthy Kids Day - Celebrate with children tots to teens, for activities that educate and motivate kids to live healthy lifestyles.
  • June Pool Party – Assist with activities, games, food, set-up or clean-up.
  • Halloween Celebration - Assist with activities, games, food, set-up or clean-up. (Friday before Halloween),
  • Winter Spectacular - Assist with activities, games, food, set-up or clean-up. (January).

Events and Fundraising 

  • General Fundraising - Help us ask people to donate to our Y Partners Scholarship fund.
  • Call Nights - Help organize or make calls on our scheduled Y Partner call nights.

Aquatics

  • Swim Instructor Aide - Assist instructors and help supervise swimmers during Swim Academy classes. (Year Round)

Maintenance and Housekeeping

  • Building Committee and Special Projects – Light cleaning, painting, repairs and maintenance, etc.
  • Gardener – Help with light gardening like watering and weeding. (May – September)

Member Services

  • Active Older Adults (AOA) - Assist with AOA special events or social activities like card games.
  • Administrative work – Office support- file, prepare mailings, prepare marketing packets)

Youth, Teen and Family Programs

  • Program Assistant - Assist class instructors with variety of sports and arts classes.
  • Preschool Assistant - Assist instructors with classroom and playground activities.
  • Before and After School Care Assistant - Assist instructors with activities. (Sept–June)
  • Montreal Courts Mentor – Tutoring, homework help afterschool. (Sept – May)
  • Summer Power Assistant - Assist instructors with summer activities (June – Aug)
  • Youth Sports Coaches - Meetings take place before each session begins and we offer manuals and any other assistance you may need to get started.
  • Youth/Teen Center - Provide supervision, facilitate activities for youth, mentor kids or provide homework help.
  • Youth in Government, Model Assembly or Model United Nations – Help young people to learn, serve, and lead with a high profile model program. Facilitate small group activities. (September - March)
