Y CLIP

The Community Leadership Intern Program (Y CLIP) matches U of M students with local partnering community organizations who seek to develop the ethical leaders of tomorrow.  Interns participate in either a spring semester course or a summer session of Y CLIP.  Students gain real-life experience in a work environment, and come together in seminars to discuss and reflect on:  personal leadership, ethical leadership, community building, diversity and cultural differences, civic leadership and professional development.

Y CLIP Recognition Event

Through Y CLIP, I learned that leadership is not a position - it is a way that we live and think. Because of my internship and the seminar, I grew in my confidence, my leadership skills, and my ability to create lasting social change in my community.
