Y Tutors partners with the well known America Reads program at the University of Minnesota with their mission to help all children learn the basic skills of reading. The goal of the America Reads program is to have every child read on grade level by the end of third grade.
Students eligible for federal work-study may also use their award to earn their work study funds. Because of its partnership with the U of M and America Reads, the Y Tutors program is able to offer work-study positions to college students while they tutor at these schools and receive continuous trainings from experts and Y staff.
