Parent Child Swim Lessons

Parents accompany children at all times during these classes; one parent per child.

Sea Turtle—Ages 6-18 months; must be at least 6 months old on first day of class and be able to control head movement. In this water adjustment program, certified instructors guide parents in teaching their children fundamental safety and aquatic skills.

Sea Lion—Ages 12-30 months; must be comfortable in the water and able to walk 3 steps independently. In this advanced water adjustment program, a certified instructor will guide parents in teaching body position, blowing bubbles, floating and fundamental safety and aquatic skills.

Sea Horse—Ages 18 months-3 years; must be able to jump on cue on land. This class teaches water safety, paddle strokes, kicking skills, blowing bubbles with face in the water, and floating. It is a transition to the preschool swim program.

We love that the Y provides so many options during the week for me to take my son to swim lessons. The time of classes and instruction is just right for his age. Thank you for teaching my son to swim.
