Dancers in this class develop an appreciation of dance as they work on basic ballet, tap and performing arts. Classes include:
Stretching: Proper warm-up techniques.
Tap: Basic positions (stationary and progression) including flap, shuffle, heel steps, toe steps, digs and marches.
Ballet: Basic stationary positions including 1st and 2nd position, body posture/technique, tendu, battements, relevé, plié and port de bras. Progressions include battement, chassé, bourrée and chaîné.
Routine: Dancers learn a routine and perform for families at the end of class.
