College Programs

The University Y

The Y provides college programming through its branch at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities campus.  Located right on campus, the UY serves student leaders in their commitment to learn, grow, and thrive.

The University Y has three programs centered around college students:  Y-ImmersionCollegiate Achievers Program, and the Community Leadership Intern Program.

The UY seeks to develop its college students through leadership opportunities that aim to empower the next generation of leaders.  Each year, a group of students serve on the Student Board to lead the UY community and represent the students to the community at large.  Student Board members are also active voting members on the UY's Community Board.

Y-Immersion

Y-Immersion works to engage college students in service projects throughout the US and internationally in order to grow an awareness of social justice and environmental issues.

Y-CAP

The Collegiate Achievers Program (Y-CAP) is a four year program, created by and for first-generation college students at the University of Minnesota.

Y-CLIP

The Community Leadership Intern Program (Y-CLIP) matches U of M students with local partnering community organizations who seek to develop the ethical leaders of tomorrow.
