Historic Security Council
New MUN Program Area!
The Historic Security Council is a program area focused on events in the past. Delegates representing the countries that were part of the United Nations Security Council at that moment in history will be presented with situations from that time and asked to play them out. No outcome is pre-scripted nor is a specific outcome expected. The 2014 crisis will be the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962.
There are still seats available for the new Historic Security Council. We’ll be assigning Historic Security Council countries on a first come, first served basis, so please get your applications in ASAP. Applicants should be ready to commit to an ambitious and somewhat ambiguous program area with a limited amount of time for prep. If you have an assignment already or have other questions, do not hesitate to contact the YIG State Office.
